A few days later, Reilly still mocked the idea that he was a "[political exile](https://web.archive.org/web/20191122132249/https:/twitter.com/akareilly/status/1197451329418993664)" and accused him of taking credit for someone else's work, without any specifics. Macrina [laughed at the program's name](https://web.archive.org/web/20191201123553/https:/twitter.com/flexlibris/status/1197304552103514118?lang=en), and [Saitta](https://web.archive.org/web/20191201123920/https://twitter.com/Dymaxion/status/1197277560624885760?lang=en) (see '[*Freedom of the Press Foundation*](https://github.com/Enegnei/JacobAppelbaumLeavesTor/blob/master/JacobAppelbaumLeavesTor.md#freedom-of-the-press-foundation)') at his description as a journalist. Quintin suggested that [rotten fruit should have been thrown](https://archive.is/ZvDX1). Galperin (see '[*Electronic Frontier Foundation*](https://github.com/Enegnei/JacobAppelbaumLeavesTor/blob/master/JacobAppelbaumLeavesTor.md#electronic-frontier-foundation)') characterized the talks as "[classic sexual abuser comeback tour material](https://web.archive.org/web/20191122131355/https:/twitter.com/evacide/status/1197366794165481472?lang=en)," and [reiterated](https://archive.is/hXAmC) that he should "engage [in] a good faith restorative justice process with all of your victims." Chasteen responded, "[This is the correct take](https://web.archive.org/web/20191122132719/https:/twitter.com/davidschasteen/status/1197605056821915649?lang=en)."
Reilly would continue to reference the allegations against Appelbaum and [Assange](https://archive.is/Csns1).
In July 2020, [York](https://archive.ph/o84uf) tweeted that people were "trying to revive Appelbaum's career," and "his only remaining fans are looney tunes" and "second-rate journalists." She also declared, "I can promise, he will never be welcome in the digital rights community again. Oh and uh... I've got plenty of as-yet-unseen receipts." Reilly would also continue to reference the allegations against Appelbaum and [Assange](https://archive.is/Csns1).

In June, Reilly tweeted [a long thread](https://archive.ph/67rLX) criticising those who call for 'due process' regarding sexual misconduct allegations. She claimed that "the founder of a tech NGO quite literally said TO ME that: the abuser would attempt to damage the organisation, he needed to go, but he couldn't be fired, so he would be handed off to a graduate program in cryptography at a technical university in the Netherlands." York then quote-tweeted this and said:
> [Looking at you, Appelbaum. Your apology tour is directed at all the wrong people. Dont think nobodys watching or that no one talks. You know exactly what you need to do if you ever stand a chance of showing your face again](https://archive.ph/dOCH6).
Reily replied further that "[the best way to say sorry is with cash](https://archive.ph/2U2f5)."
