DDoS mitigation service that our upstream used. Path.net was our
|
||||
DDoS mitigator until they unilaterally decided, without warning,
|
||||
to stop passing traffic through to my ASN and effectively deny us
|
||||
service.

||||
|
||||
This downtime came after Path.net attempted to have information
|
||||
about a known pedophile named Corey Barnhill, now August Heart,
|
||||
removed from our website. The allegation is that Corey Barnhill,
|
||||
a pedophile, works for Path.net.
|
||||
|
||||
They have used a Canadian court order (which cannot be verified
|
||||
to exist, is allegedly a secret court order, and which has never
|
||||
been shown to me) to have this information removed under legal
|
||||
pretense. Our upstream asked us to oblige this legal request
|
||||
and it was. Still, Path.net continued to complain. They wanted
|
||||
all information about Corey removed from the forum.
|
||||
|
||||
Service was restored by upstream after Path.net, via their attorney,
|
||||
decided to ask our upstream to SEIZE OUR HARDDRIVES. This request
|
||||
was denied and upstream told them to communicate to my lawyer
|
||||
instead of through them.
|
||||
|
||||
Path.net again threatened us over information about Corey Barnhill.
|
||||
They warned me that they may sue us in the future. The information
|
||||
has stayed up despite this threat, and the deleted information
|
||||
has since been restored.
|
||||
|
||||
I have yet to be contacted by anyone related to Path about their
|
||||
behavior and I strongly advise AGAINST doing ANY business with
|
||||
this deranged company.

On April 18th, we received a message from AppGate on behalf of the

World Bank complaining about allegedly hacked information being
|
||||
available on the forum.

||||
|
||||

On April 19th, I received a DMCA from attorney Kyle Kremers on

behalf of Andrews McMeel Universal to delete The Far Side comic
|
||||
strips on the forum. The DMCA was obliged.
